| dc.description.abstract | The Seminar addresses the environmental impact of the transportation sector in the Greater Cairo area, highlighting the challenges posed by urban pollution from vehicular emissions. Statistics indicate that road transport accounts for approximately 40% of air pollutants in Cairo, adversely affecting public health. It was recommended to re-evaluate public transportation policies by improving public transit systems and adopting electric vehicles, in addition to implementing road pricing to reduce reliance on private cars. | |
| dc.description.abstract | تتناول الحلقة السادسة من سيمينار شباب الباحثين التأثير البيئي لقطاع النقل في منطقة القاهرة الكبرى، حيث تسلط الضوء على التحديات الناتجة عن التلوث الحضري الناتج عن الانبعاثات المرورية. تشير الإحصائيات إلى أن النقل على الطرق يمثل حوالي 40% من ملوثات الهواء في القاهرة، مما يؤثر سلبًا على الصحة العامة. تم التوصية بإعادة تقييم السياسات العامة للنقل من خلال تحسين أنظمة النقل العام وتبني المركبات الكهربائية، بالإضافة إلى فرض رسوم على الطرق لتقليل الاعتماد على السيارات الخاصة. | |
