Analysis of Variance/تحليل التباين

Abstract

Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) is a statistical method used to separate the total variation in a variable into components of interest for experimental analysis. It is particularly useful in evaluating the effects of different factors on a variable. For instance, in a gunnery experiment, different brands of shells are tested for quality by having six marksmen fire an equal number of rounds with each brand. The scores, representing the variable, are recorded and arranged in a table with rows representing marksmen and columns representing shell brands. This tabular arrangement facilitates the study of variations attributed to marksmen, shell brands, and other factors.

تحليل التباين (ANOVA) هو أسلوب إحصائي يُستخدم لتقسيم التغير الكلي في متغير معين إلى مكونات ذات أهمية في التحليل التجريبي. يُستخدم هذا التحليل لتقييم تأثير العوامل المختلفة على المتغير. على سبيل المثال، في تجربة تتعلق بالرماية، يتم اختبار جودة أنواع مختلفة من القذائف من خلال جعل ستة رماة يطلقون عددًا متساويًا من الطلقات بكل نوع. يتم تسجيل الدرجات (المتغير) وترتيبها في جدول يحتوي على صفوف تمثل الرماة وأعمدة تمثل أنواع القذائف. يُسهل هذا الترتيب دراسة التباينات الناتجة عن العوامل المختلفة مثل الرماة وأنواع القذائف.
