Abstract

يعتبر التوسع الأفقي في الزراعة المصرية ضرورة ملحة تستند إلى اعتبارات اقتصادية واجتماعية. الأول هو الحاجة إلى تعزيز التنمية الاقتصادية، حيث تلعب الزراعة دورًا أساسيًا في زيادة الناتج المحلي وتوفير العملات الصعبة. الثاني هو تحقيق العدالة وتكافؤ الفرص في ملكية الأراضي الزراعية، مما يتطلب استصلاح مساحات واسعة من الأراضي لتوزيعها على المزارعين. يتضح من هذه الاعتبارات أهمية التوسع الزراعي الأفقي في الجمهورية العربية المتحدة، خاصة مع استمرار النمو السكاني. كما يثير هذا الوضع تساؤلات حول الحدود القصوى الممكنة لهذا التوسع في المستقبل لتحقيق الأهداف التنموية والاجتماعية.
