Abstract

تم إجراء هذه الدراسة لتقدير اتجاهات السكان في الجمهورية العربية المتحدة حتى عام 2000، وقد اعتمدت على فرضيات محددة بشأن معدلات الخصوبة والوفيات. بالنسبة للخصوبة، افترضت الدراسة (12) سيناريو مختلف لتطور معدلات الخصوبة. أما بالنسبة للوفيات، فقد تم افتراض (22) سيناريو لتطور معدلات الوفيات. استنادًا إلى هذه الفرضيات، توصلت الدراسة إلى تقديرات تفصيلية لعدد سكان الجمهورية العربية المتحدة حتى عام 2000، موزعين حسب الفئات العمرية والنوع والمناطق الريفية والحضرية. النتائج الرئيسية للدراسة تشير إلى استمرار النمو السكاني، مع تغيرات في التركيب العمري والنوعي للسكان، وزيادة معدل التحضر. كما أظهرت الدراسة التأثيرات المحتملة لهذه الاتجاهات الديموغرافية على التنمية الاجتماعية والاقتصادية للبلاد. تم إرفاق ملحق يتضمن الجداول الإحصائية التفصيلية لتقديرات عدد السكان حتى عام 2000.

This study was conducted to estimate the population trends in the United Arab Republic (UAR) until the year 2000, based on specific assumptions regarding fertility and mortality rates. For fertility, the study assumed (12) different scenarios for the evolution of fertility rates. As for mortality, (22) scenarios were assumed for the evolution of mortality rates. Based on these assumptions, the study arrived at detailed estimates of the population of the UAR until the year 2000, distributed by age groups, sex, and rural/urban areas. The main findings of the study indicate the continued population growth, with changes in the age and sex structure of the population, and an increase in the urbanization rate. The study also highlighted the potential impacts of these demographic trends on the social and economic development of the country An annex is provided, containing the detailed statistical tables of the population estimates until the year 2000.Bottom of Form
