Abstract

يتناول علم الاقتصاد القياسي استخدام أدوات النظرية الاقتصادية والرياضيات والاستنباط الإحصائي لتحليل الظواهر الاقتصادية. تتلخص خطوات البحث في التوصيف، والتقدير، والتحقق. يشمل التوصيف صياغة النظريات الاقتصادية في شكل رياضي، بينما يتعلق التقدير باكتشاف الأساليب الإحصائية المناسبة لفهم معلمات العلاقات داخل النموذج استنادًا إلى البيانات المتاحة. هناك نوعان من التقدير: تقدير نقطة، الذي يسعى للحصول على أفضل تقدير مفرد لقيمة المعلمات، وتقدير منطقة، الذي يحدد مدى اختلاف التقدير عن القيمة الحقيقية. تحدد عملية التحقق المعايير التي تقرر قبول أو رفض النظرية الاقتصادية، بينما يقيم التنبؤ تأثير المتغيرات المستقلة على المتغيرات التابعة.

Econometrics deals with the use of the tools of economic theory, mathematics, and statistical extrapolation to analyze economic phenomena. The research steps are characterization, estimation, and verification. Characterization involves formulating economic theories in mathematical form, while estimation is about discovering the appropriate statistical methods to understand the parameters of the relationships within the model based on the available data. There are two types of estimation: Point estimation, which seeks the single best estimate of the value of the parameters, and area estimation, which determines how much the estimate differs from the true value. Verification defines the criteria that decide the acceptance or rejection of an economic theory, while forecasting evaluates the effect of independent variables on dependent variables.
