Abstract

Econometric analysis focuses on the empirical investigation of quantitative relationships between economic variables as envisioned by economic theory. The analysis is related to the concept of a model, which defines a certain structure. A model refers to a hypothetical set of relationships that connect economic variables in a well-defined manner to explain a specific economic phenomenon. Three conditions must be met for a theoretical model to be considered workable from an econometric perspective: explicit formulation of relationships, defining their form, and specifying the parameters to include. Additionally, variables must be defined in a manner that allows for actual statistical observation. The structure includes parameters related to economic relationships as well as parameters of the distributions of stochastic elements, leading to a complete econometric structure.

يتعلق التحليل الاقتصاد القياسي بالتحقيق التجريبي في العلاقات الكمية بين المتغيرات الاقتصادية كما تتصورها النظرية الاقتصادية. يرتبط التحليل بمفهوم النموذج، حيث يحدد مخرجاته هيكلًا معينًا. يشير النموذج إلى مجموعة افتراضية من العلاقات التي تربط المتغيرات الاقتصادية ببعضها بطريقة محددة تهدف إلى تفسير ظاهرة اقتصادية معينة. يجب تلبية ثلاث شروط قبل اعتبار النموذج النظري قابلًا للتطبيق من وجهة نظر الاقتصاد القياسي: صياغة العلاقات بشكل واضح، تعريف شكلها، وتحديد المعلمات التي يجب تضمينها. كما يجب تعريف المتغيرات بطريقة تجعلها قابلة للملاحظة الإحصائية الفعلية. تشمل الهيكل المعلمات المتعلقة بالعلاقات الاقتصادية بالإضافة إلى معلمات توزيع العناصر العشوائية، مما يؤدي إلى هيكل اقتصاد قياسي كامل.
