dc.description.abstract | The gap between the educational process outcomes and the labor market requirements is regarded as one of the challenges facing development and progress in the Egyptian society and the work towards attracting the new investments. In addition, the Egyptian state launched the Egypt's strategic vision for sustainable development 2030 that aims to increase foreign investments and establish national projects, which require uniting efforts amongst the parties of the development process (the governmental sector, civil sector and private sector) with the aim of bridging that gap and satisfying needs of the labor market. The main question posed by the study is as follows: What is the role that the private sector can play through its social responsibility; in order to contribute to reduce the negative effects of the gap between the educational process outcomes and the labor market requirements? Significance of the study lies in that the social responsibility of the companies is regarded one of the most important topics presented for discussion and the scientific research during the past twenty years of research regarding how to invest this side and the role of bringing about the comprehensive and sustainable development. The study aimed to identify nature of the gap between education and the labor market, record and analyze the role exerted by the private sector to develop the society through hits social responsibility as well as recording contributions of the private sector with regard to handling transition of the youth from the education to the labor market. The study was exposed to some international, regional and local experiences of the social responsibility by the private sector. Through the field study, which targeted a simple random sample (161) companies from the companies registered in the Egyptian Stock Exchange according to the EGX30 index, a questionnaire was conducted to record the trends of the private sector towards social responsibility in Egypt. The study came to the following results:(1 (The study proved that there is a statistically significant correlation between the company's commitment to its social responsibility and the company's interest in the field of rehabilitating and training young people to enter the labor market (2) There is a statistically significant effect of the companies' social responsibility interest in rehabilitating and training young people for the labor market. (3)There is a role for the private sector to exert in handling the gap existent between the educational process outcomes and the work labor requirements. (4)There are obstacles facing the private sector in doing the aforementioned steps, for example, the mental image amongst the youth and society regarding the crafts as well as the information shortage with regard to the unemployed number and their geographical distributions. Amongst the recommendations provided by the study re the following: significance of working on providing an appropriate climate for companies to exert their social activities, tackling challenges of the local and international competition, working on launching a national strategy for training and rehabilitating the employees with the private sector.
