يهتم الدارسون في مجال البحوث التطبيقيه بتجديد العلاقة بين المتغيرات المختلفة التي تحكم أو تؤثر على ظاهرة معنيه فمثلا في مجال البحوث الاقتصادية فانهم يهتمون بتحديد العلاقة بين المتغيرات الاقتصادية التي تحكم ظاهره اقتصاديه معينه كمتغيرات أسعار سلع معينه وأسعار السلع المتصله ( البديله أو المكملة ) ودخول الافراد ......... الخ التي تحكم ظاهـــــره زيادة أو نقص الطلب على هذه السلعه خلال فتره معينه ، أو كمتغيرات أسعار العناصر المتغيره واسعار العناصر الثابته ..... الخ التي تؤثر على زيادة أو نقص التكاليف الانتاجيه .
