Abstract

Industrial development holds a special place in economic and social development projects, and the United Arab Republic has shown significant interest in advancing industry since the 1952 Revolution. The results of this interest are evident in the substantial leaps recorded in industrial production between 1952 and 1970. The United Arab Republic is currently undergoing a crucial and critical phase of its manufacturing, focusing on strengthening production equipment industries and intermediate goods, often referred to as heavy industries. It is essential to understand the evolution of the industrial structure to identify the current structure of industry and the factors that have influenced its formation, which aids in planning and developing the future structure of Egyptian industry. The following pages will attempt to present and analyze the evolution of industry in the economies of the United Arab Republic, hoping that these notes will assist students in following our industrial planning
