Section 1. Introduction: Assume we are given n+1 values of a dependent variable "f" corresponding to n+1 values of independent variable "a". Denote these variables respectively For numerical application, a more convenient form for the polynomial f(x) is needed, which is derived in the following section.en_US
This document discusses how to construct a polynomial of degree nn using dependent variable values tt and independent variable values ss. The polynomial is expressed as: f(x)=Λ0+Λ1⋅x+Λ2⋅x2+…+Λn⋅xn Lagrange interpolation formulas are utilized to develop this polynomial. A more convenient form for numerical applications is derived in the following section, facilitating practical use. The resulting equations indicate that the system of equations is consistent if and only if certain conditions are satisfied.

Who we are

Institute of National Planning (INP) was established by Law No. 231 of 1960 as a think-tank public institution with an independent legal personality to enhance the theory and practice of planning in Egypt through: research, training and educational activities. Also, INP aims at providing technical support to Ministry of Planning, as well as to all national ministers and institutions, through spreading a culture of planning in Egyptian society.
