Abstract

شهد القطاع الزراعي والصناعات الغذائية في مصر تطورًا ملحوظًا في السنوات الأخيرة، حيث تجاوزت صادرات الحاصلات الزراعية حاجز 10 مليارات دولار، ما يعكس أهمية التكامل بين الزراعة والتصنيع الغذائي. وتوسعت الصادرات لتشمل منتجات مثل الموالح والبطاطس والخضروات، بعيدًا عن النمط التقليدي السابق. ورغم هذا التحسن، يظل العجز في الميزان التجاري تحديًا بسبب استمرار الاعتماد على واردات الحبوب والزيوت، في ظل محدودية الموارد الطبيعية، مما يفرض ضرورة الموازنة بين الأمن الغذائي والاستدامة المائية.

The agricultural sector and food industries in Egypt have witnessed remarkable development in recent years, with exports of agricultural crops exceeding $10 billion, which reflects the importance of integration between agriculture and food processing. Exports expanded to include products such as citrus fruits, potatoes and vegetables, away from the previous traditional pattern. Despite this improvement, the trade deficit remains a challenge due to continued dependence on grain and oil imports, in light of limited natural resources, which imposes the need to balance food security and water sustainability.
