The problem of the study is represented in the obstacles faced by agricultural cooperatives in Egypt, which are reflected in the low levels of performance of their economic and social functions and lead to a decline in their role in achieving agricultural development, and with the return of interest in the agricultural sector to achieve food security and consider it a safe haven in the face of crises and shocks, and that the advancement of this sector will not Only through effective agricultural institutions that truly contribute to the renaissance of this sector, it has become necessary to develop and activate the role of agricultural cooperatives and solve the problems and obstacles they face so that they can keep pace with the changes and the changing global environment.
To achieve the objectives of the study, a descriptive analysis of the performance of agricultural cooperatives was adopted, which was covered in two ways, the theoretical method, through published and unpublished data and research, and global reports, in addition to holding limited personal interviews (within the time and funding available to conduct the research) with cooperative representatives, officials and beneficiaries of their services to solicit their opinions. On the obstacles and ways to improve and develop agricultural cooperatives and promote them through the rapid rural meeting
The research consists of five chapters in addition to the introduction, research objectives and research problem. The first chapter dealt with agricultural cooperatives in the world, the second: the current situation of agricultural cooperatives in Egypt, the third: opinion polls on the role of agricultural cooperatives in Egypt, and the fourth: a future vision for the role of agricultural cooperatives in the next stage In light of the most important regional and global experiences, the fifth agricultural cooperatives in Egypt are the requirements for reform and capacity building.
The results of the research were represented in determining the most important requirements for the advancement of agricultural cooperatives within the framework of Egypt’s vision 2030, which are requirements related to the state’s position on cooperatives, legislative and legal requirements, organizational, administrative and technical requirements, special requirements for managing agricultural cooperative work, work governance in agricultural cooperatives, digitizing agricultural cooperatives, financial requirements, Cultural requirements, cooperative insurance against risks, the role of women in agricultural cooperatives, special requirements for the role of youth in agricultural cooperatives, special requirements for social services for agricultural cooperativesi | |
