191- مشروع تنمية جنوب الوادى توشكى بين الأهداف والإنجازات / South Valley Toshka Development Project: Objectives and Achievements

Abstract

نفذ مشروع توشكى منذ حوالى عشر سنوات بهدف جذب السكان لإستيطان المنطقة وإسذتغلال مواردها الطبيعية والصناعية والسياحية ، لكى تكون مجتمع متكامل ولكن أ ثير جدل حول إنجازات هذا المشروع لذا إستهدفت الدراسة معرفة حقيقة الامر، فقد نفذ المشروع ولكن كانت النتائج بطيئة وغير مرضية خصوصا فى مجال الزراعة . لأنها تعد النشاط الإنتاجى الأوحد الى الآن ، وتبين أن غالبية العمالة للمشروع تقييم فى معسكرات ايواء وهو ما قد يتعارض مع الأهداف المخططه للمشروع والتى تسعى الى جذب السكان الى المنطقة والإستيطان والإقامه المستقره بها.

The Toshka project was implemented about ten years ago with the aim of attracting residents to settle in the area and to exploit its natural, industrial, and tourist resources, in order to create an integrated community. However, there has been much debate about the achievements of this project. Therefore, the study aimed to uncover the truth of the matter. The project was indeed executed, but the results were slow and unsatisfactory, especially in the field of agriculture, as it has been the only productive activity so far. It was found that the majority of the workforce for the project is housed in shelters, which may contradict the planned objectives of the project that aim to attract residents to the region and to promote stable settlement there.
